Office of the Executive Vice President for Finance and Administration
As a member of the President’s Executive Cabinet, Teresa Costantinidis assists the University in meeting the challenges associated with the changing economic environment in higher education. In order to maintain the high teaching and research standards set by UNM, the entire finance and administrative team must focus on new, creative ways to enhance the resources available to us and to achieve internal efficiencies where possible. Ms. Costantinidis works with Regents, faculty, and administration to develop effective long-term strategies to minimize the impact of economic changes that have taken place in higher education during recent years.
The Office of the Executive Vice President manages a wide range of financial, administrative, entertainment, recreational and general student services. The areas of oversight are Institutional Support Services (the campus Bookstore, Business Services, Golf Courses, Parking & Transportation, Public Events Management, Staff Council, Facilities Management, Real Estate, Capital Projects, and Facility Planning), Controller’s Office, Budget Office, Human Resources, Information Technologies, Environmental Health and Safety, Police Department, Policy Office, Strategic Initiatives, and fiscal oversight of Branch Campuses.
Teresa Costantinidis’ administration of these departments ensures that campus facilities reflect the technological advances necessary to maintain UNM’s leading-edge status in research and provide state-of-the-art student services. It is a high priority to ensure that the campus environment continues to be both enjoyable and functional. In addition, Ms. Costantinidis encourages interaction with all constituencies in the shared mission to build upon the University’s many outstanding accomplishments.
